Congratulations!

Congratulations!  You are getting married!!! This is probably one of the biggest decisions of your life and one which must not be taken lightly.  Marriage is God's idea and it is a good thing!  Remember your wedding day is just a couple of hours, but your marriage is a lifetime; so why don't you invest in your marriage?!

All couples who intend to be married at Jesus House are required to attend the premarital classes “Two Become One”.

• Premarital classes take place three times a year - January, April and September - on Friday evenings between 7pm and 9.30pm.

• The Church requires a minimum of six months’ notice from couples if they wish to be married at Jesus House.

• The initial step is for the couples to obtain a Marriage Notification Form, which can be done by contacting Tightknots on 020 8438 8285 or 2become1@tightknots.org.

• Once the form has been received, the couple will have a preliminary meeting with Bode & Kemi Olutunbi, who head Tightknots. At the meeting, the couple’s specific needs will be assessed and a place will be confirmed on the appropriate premarital class stream.

• After the meeting your wedding date will be confirmed and you, the couple, will be referred to the Wedding Ceremony Co-ordinators, who are responsible for helping you with planning all aspects of the wedding ceremony, including the wedding program, rehearsal, choir/multimedia
booking and offering general advice about the wedding ceremony.

• The couple will need to confirm the availability of the church auditorium and other necessary resources on their “intended wedding date” prior to making further arrangements (e.g. printing invitations, booking a reception venue etc).

• Jesus House also conducts marriage blessings and renewals of vows for couples who are already married by civil or customary law. We require notification at least three-six months before the intended date.
